Sometimes, you feel like you are the odd one out. The only one who remains unseen. Yet, there are those in our society, despite being labelled as the other, are more resilient than we realise. These are the emerging voices that we must value and recognise.
We Are Not Alone (WRNA) is providing the platform for voices to be heard and represented, especially for young people with disabilities in regional areas that are often underrepresented. As a youth-led organisation, has been stepping up to the challenge, creating their campaign We Are Not Alone days, and also running regional workshops, upskilling trainings and speaking through lived experiences.
Most recently, co-founder Rhea Lincoln has been focusing the efforts of the team on empowering volunteers from diverse backgrounds to advocate for the building a stronger, more inclusive community.
