Dev Choudhary, the founder and chair of Why Not? – is taking this a step further, by launching a platform that brings both the community and the corporate world together for students and young professionals navigating life and work locally. Through his own personal experience, he has been able to bring together people from across the sector, by sharing his own journey and providing a way for others to share their stories, advice and experiences in an environment built by those navigating it.

Why Not? is now a career development and community platform which offers a stepping stone for young professionals and recent graduates to connect with likeminded people through a range of upskilling events and workshops, as well as hosting founder and startup showcases, skill labs, and growing their mentorship network and career coaching offerings.

As Dev shares, he often found after graduating from university that students and young professionals are left to fend for themselves without any professional guidance or initiative, relying solely on limited personal assistance or peer advice. Despite the talent, ambition and qualifications, breaking into the job market is often more difficult without the local networks to make things happen.

This is where WhyNot? Is able to bridge the gap – one event, one mentor introduction, and one honest conversation at a time.
