Empowering the Emerging Leader: AAYA x SolveSquad

Harnessing the power and potential of people is a worthwhile endeavour, and tapping into the need to equip and engage the very same individuals is an equally befitting task. Thankfully, there exists an initiative that is taking this to the next level, especially by empowering emerging leaders.

The Asia-Australian Youth Association (AAYA), launched in 2024, has already grown a team of over 100-strong, with thousands more national members spanning across fourteen university campuses and partnered with several leading organisations across the educational and professional sector. With the launch of international chapters and other initiatives, such as Lantern Consulting, the AAYA is already set to become one of the leading student volunteer-led associations in the country.

Behind it all is a commitment to provide students and young professionals with recognised skills and experience to build lasting relationships across both Asia and Australia; acting as the bridge between two nations, and basing this on four key pillars of literacy, connections, as well as academic and professionals development.

At SolveSquad, we recognised potential when we see it, which is why we have also committed to supporting, collaborating and partnering with AAYA to further grow its presence and aid its platform through the development of the SolveSquad Scholarship.

This is a brand-new initiative this year which aims to support individuals, especially emerging leaders, from diverse cultural backgrounds to gain greater access to better opportunities through reducing barriers to engagement.

We hope this will be the start of a long and fruitful partnership, not just with the AAYA, but also for future up and coming endeavours, organisational initiatives, strategic campaigns and emerging opportunities.

The first of these collaborative initiatives will be supporting a number of chosen delegates to participate in the upcoming Emerging Leaders Summit for 2026, particularly those who would not be able to attend and engage otherwise.

We hope to highlight their stories and experiences as recipients of the inaugural scholarship.
